THE RUGGED COASTLINE AND MOUNTAINS OF SCOTLAND ARE A CONSTANT SOURCE OF INSPIRATION.

From the storm battered cliffs of Shetland to uninhabited islands of the Hebrides and from isolated peaks of the north west to the rolling high plateau of the Cairngorms. Calm bays explored by kayak or exposed and windswept summits navigated on foot. This most recent body of work is an exploration of place and connection, the pull of the elements, moments of wonder in observation and a fascination with the wildlife which clings to these places. Many of the locations have been known to me all my life, others may be the result of a brief but profound experience but all owe their origin to the hours spent walking, watching and working outdoors in all weather.
