Intricate Layers of colour and detail
Linocuts, woodcuts and other forms of relief print are richly diverse, spanning from delicate, translucent layers of colour and fine detail to chunky textures and bold graphic shapes. The blocks are hand-carved, often requiring several blocks to create a design, then they are inked and printed adding layer upon layer of colour to build up the image.
